Binding Generations

Tonight I received a phone call from a gentleman who came to our Independence Day open house for the garden railroad. He had taken a picture of his young great grandson watching the train and had it enlarged, matted, and framed. He also won an award for this picture at the retirement home he lives in here in town. He is going to give the picture to his Great Grandson tomorrow who is putting it up in his room, but he wanted us to see it first. I was truly touched to see that this gentleman has found an interest that he shares with his grandson, and now great grandson. I decided to take a picture of him holding his photo and share it. He also said, they will definitely be here for Halloween. We look forward to it.

Aww, that is so nice! Before I read it, I almost that this was Jim, holding a picture of your little one. What a sweet story. I'm really glad that it touched them in such a way.

Check out my new blog, click on the train.

Alot of people ask about our garden railroad. He it is. It is actually quite a bit more mature than what you see here. This was July 4, 2006.
