Making the old new

Yesterday my husband couldn't find the charger for our digital camera. "I charged the batteries right here last weekend for our sons birthday party". "Well, it's not there now!" We looked all over. I finally opened up the Lane cedar chest in our bedroom, (I haven't opened this thing up in years, but it's worth a try), and found several pairs of shorts I had stored for my husband and me that we had "outgrown". Knowing that we have both been losing weight, (he's lost nearly 60 pounds!) we decided to try them on. THEY FIT, and some of his were now too big! Some of these shorts I bought before having my son. They were practically brand new, and believe it or not, still somewhat stylish. We tend to get golf style khaki and cargo shorts. We were pretty excited. I have been perusing the closet recently lamenting our vacation wardrobe. Thanks to some good sales recently and this incident, I think we're set. Thanks to Old Navy, Marshall's, Ross, and Kohl's, our kids are some of the best dressed in town. By the way, I found a charger, new battery and car charging package on ebay for $10.00. Sometimes, it's just worth it to upgrade! I'm sure we'll find the old one the day the new arrives, but hey, at least we'll have a backup.

Isn't it fun to find stuff you've stashed away - it's like Christmas!

Check out my new blog, click on the train.

Alot of people ask about our garden railroad. He it is. It is actually quite a bit more mature than what you see here. This was July 4, 2006.
