He called you what?

Last night my daughter and husband came home from one of her dance classes and my daughter sat down on the couch and wanted to tell me something. Apparently she had asked he dad some stuff on the way home and wanted to tell me. It seems one of her male friends, (one of the ones from the "Sleepover" post) told her that another boy called her a "slut" to him when the boys were talking recently about the girls in their class. To be honest, this boy didn't even know what it meant until he asked his parents (who are friends and great folks by the way), and he decided to tell my daughter. In the same boat, she didn't know what it meant and asked her dad since she didn't want to appear "dumb" to her friend. She took it pretty well, but was totally confused. She claims she is always nice to this boy and he to her. It seems he also talks to the "guys" about things like drinking and brags about how he drinks at home and steals cigarettes and so on. Whether it is true, I don't know, but it seems this boy isn't going to be welcome at our home or around our daughter. My husband and I decided we would leave it alone for now. With her new found knowledge and the fact that we know our daughter is no pushover and will stand up for herself confidently, we'll let her deal with this boy. If he is stupid enough to say this to her face, we'll let her put him in his place and we will call his parents if need be. Let's just hope it doesn't come to that.
