We were in Wichita yesterday so my husband could run his new train on the really nice layout of some of our Wichita Area Gardern Railroaders friends. We got all of his boxed up cars out of the van and unloaded when our daughter started hinted that is was time to go shopping. We were along for the ride so I could get the kids new tennis shoes and a few more things for our trip for all of us. I usually don't drive in Wichita or any bigger or big city. My husband lived in both Wichita and Denver, our most visited big cities, so he does all the driving, which is fine with me. I barely pay attention to where we are going. Armed now with my new GPS, I found myself very confident, and nearly stress free. I searched "Kohl's" and it took me right there, unfortunately, the Kellogg Kohl's is hidden behind the Sam's, and we still didn't find it. I plugged in the other Kohl's, and ten minutes later we were there. The girls there said the other Kohl's is still there, but coming in from the angle I was at, if you don't know the little no named turn, you can't see it. We did our shopping at the "Rock Road" Kohl's which is a bigger store anyway, and cleaned up with new shoes, sandals, swim trunks for my husband and son, and a swim suit for me. Satisfied, we plugged in our return address to the house DH was left at running trains. One thing the GPS misses is road construction, detours, and trains. We ran in to one train, 4 areas of road construction, one of which had a bridge out that we needed to use, and 3 detours. We gave our little Garmin a workout! "Recalculating" became an annoying word by the time we made it back, but hey, we got back!
