Did you see that shooting star? Or, not.

Last night I played in a "Glow Ball" golf scramble. When I was invited to this, I didn't really know what to expect, but it sounded like fun. You think playing a regular round of day light golf is challenging, try doing it at night, with nothing but your glow in the dark ball, and light stick marked tee boxes, pins, and cups. We could only use flashlights to find our club in our bags, and to light our path as we walked to the next hole. It was a hoot looking over the golf course and seeing "shooting stars" flying all over. Believe it or not, I actually shot a pretty good round, and we used about 1/3 of my shots and I sunk 2 crucial putts. I was paired with two couples. The guys are pretty good weekend players, and the women were just along for the fun and beer! I was the 5th wheel, but we had a blast. At one point we saw and heard something scamper across the fairway, "What was that?" my friend Sandra said. "It's probably a raccoon, skunk, or possum." I replied. To which she said, "I hate the country!". This is a par three course out in the middle of no where. There are lots of critters, including 5 lb. bull frogs. I've never seen anything like it. I can't wait to do this again. This kind of golf, I could get used to. By the way, we teamed up to shoot 1 over.
