Strange title, huh? We have an 8 year old coonhound mix. She is very well behaved and a great family dog. She does have a new "thing" going on now. It seems that she thinks every time she is hungry and wants to eat or when she feels the need to go for a walk, she can just follow us around and bark until we give in. This started out kinda funny when we would giddily ask her if she wanted to go for a "walk" and she would respond with excitement and bark. Today, she came into our bedroom while my husband was getting ready for work and started barking at us until we fed her. Later this morning, I finished doing some work in the garden and when I was changing shoes she came over and when she noticed I was putting on tennis shoes, she got excited and started barking at me, and ran to the back door. You've heard that you can't teach an old dog new tricks, but this old dog seems to think her bark can manipulate all of us. We probably don't help matters when we respond to her demands, but hey, this is the only way she can "talk" to us, so we listen.
On the road again....
