So long 3 day weekend

The 3 day weekend is over now. DH got up and headed back to work this morning, dragging a little more than usual. After sleeping in past 7:00 a.m. the last 3 mornings, that 6:00 wake up was a bit harder to take. Believe it or not, we have found outselves already planning our next vacation. We had looked into Yosemite and San Francisco in years past, but we always find ourselves navigating away from there. We are now focused on Western New York, Niagara Falls, and Ontario Canada. I spent a good part of yesterday perusing the internet for info on these areas, and we are convinced this would be a good trip. I visited Buffalo, Niagara Falls and Toronto years ago as a kid and always wanted to go back. DH and I thought about it before we had kids, but decided to wait until we had the kids, and they were old enough to really enjoy the natural beauty as well as the offerings of Toronto, which is known to be a mecca for the performing arts and international culture. The kids are excited as they see themselves getting another state and another country on their lists of places they have visited. Well, I gues New York and Canada it is, for 2009!
