Sunday is my husbands birthday. If you read my blog, you know I am taking him to Las Vegas this weekend to see "Phantom of the Opera" as his main birthday present, but we still wanted to get him something. If I have learned anything over the last 15 years is that Dillards runs some incredible closeout sales on summer apparel right now. We headed over. I wanted the kids to chime in on the decisions. We headed to the men's dept. and found some nice button up "Caribbean" brand silk blend shirts. The salesman was very helpful in holding up each shirt to "model" it on himself so I could see how they looked. My son nixed one shirt, our daughter nixed another and we finally found the perfect shirt. We found some shorts to match. The best part, no racks got knocked over, no one felt the need to play hide and seek inside the racks, no one went missing, and best yet, no begging. The best part for me, this is a really nice ensemble I actually look at and think "George Clooney from the Ocean's movies", not "Chevy Chase from the Vacation movies"! Ooo Lah Lah!
