No jury duty for MEEEE!

I didn't have to report! This actually turned out well this time. On Sunday, our garage door opener broke. The top chain gear snapped completely off! The service man is coming sometime between 8:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. Of course this is on top of swimming lessons for our son this morning, his transistion tutoring after that, and anything else that comes up. Knowing I had all of this today, I decided to get the backyard mowed yesterday. May not sound like a big deal, but this thought hit me right as the temp was hitting 100 degrees. A straw cowboy hat, cool towel around your neck and three glasses of water later, and it was done. The garden is also going gangbusters. This heat isn't slowing it down, and the Hawaiian hibiscus' love this heat. Another item of concern right now is sleep. Steve and I are going to Las Vegas in 10 days for a long weekend. I have desperately been trying to stay up late to prepare for the two hour time change so I won't want to be crashing at 8:00 p.m. out there. We actually want to do some grown up things like going to the VooDoo lounge at our hotel. (I snagged some VIP passes on ebay yesterday). I just can't adjust to a late night, late morning schedule. I guess I will just have to load up on sugar free Rock Star!

Alot of people ask about our garden railroad. He it is. It is actually quite a bit more mature than what you see here. This was July 4, 2006.
