Thursday I took the kids to McPherson for an afternoon at the waterpark. We spent about three hours taking in the sun and the water. We had a blast! The only problem, sunburn. We spent a week in Miami and the Bahamas a month and a half ago and none of us tinged any red. I spend 3 hours at a pool in Kansas and I'm sunburn. Before you ask, no I didn't wear sunblock. I haven't had a burn in years. Being 1/4 native american I am pretty protected. Well, maybe not. It's not too bad, and it's tanned over now, but I stayed in, out of the sun yesterday and enjoyed my yearly "North and South" viewing. I love this mini-series from the 80's. I got through Book One and will start Book Two next week. Karissa even watched and enjoyed it. Today, we are headed to the Eisenhower Museum in Abilene. They have a "Presidential Treasures" exhibit from the National Archives on display. Should be fun.
