Things seem to be looking up!

I feel I need to follow up on a recent post. My neighbor whom I was so worried about seems to be doing better. He did have an accident the other day when he removed his safety glasses just for a minute while he was edging his lawn and had a rock fly up into his eye. I took him to the local free clinic and he also got to see an ophthamologist. He has a scratched cornea, but the retina is undamaged! He is feeling better. He seems to also be handling his personal life a little better. His daughter is still with him, and she is really stepping up to be there for him the way he was been there for her. That's good to see. My husband had a good day at work yesterday and was looking forward to some things today. As the division manager, he just has everything that goes wrong division wide dumped on him. That's expected, but he is human and the stress and disappointments can get to you. One of the biggest problems is customer non-payment right now. He is bombarded with having to make collection visits and calls on a daily basis because customers aren't paying. It's not because of bad service, quite the contrary, it's that these businesses like many these days are having a rough go of it. He hates making collection calls, but that's part of his job. We just keep praying our economy makes a turn around soon so the small business' will be able to recover. On a happy note, have a good weekend all, and keep those AC's cranking as we might his 100 degrees today!
