Laundry is not so bad anymore!

If anyone saw my recent post regarding our laundry "issues" a few posts ago, you know how much I hate doing laundry. One of the reasons was our dryer has gotten to the point we have to run most larger loads through 1 1/2 cycles in order to get things dry. Well, that's all over. We went out last night and bought a new washer and dryer. For the first time in our marriage, we decided not to go cheap and got a really nice set of Maytag high efficiency, super capacity front loaders with the neat storage pedestals. I am in the process of unhooking our current set and cleaning the laundry room as I wait for the Lowe's guys to deliver my new set. I am so excited. From what friends who have similar sets tell me, they can do 4 or 5 loads for what it was taking me 10 or more. Last weekend was the final straw. I spent all weekend doing laundry. I won't have to do that anymore. If my inlaws are reading this, just another thankyou for the faithful years our current set served us, that you gave us a few years ago when you got your new set. We will make sure they go to a good home. Now the trick is figuring out how to use these things. They have so many bells and whistles, I may need to go to technical school to learn how to use them. I sure hope they come with a good owners manual! Also, President Bush will be happy, we actually spent our stimulus check, allbeit a month early!

Alot of people ask about our garden railroad. He it is. It is actually quite a bit more mature than what you see here. This was July 4, 2006.
