Getting ready to set sail!

My last day at work for the summer was yesterday! I am done! I've had a blast being in my own classroom for the last 3 months, but it has been exhausting. I spent nearly 6 months of this last school year in my own classroom. That is alot for a substitute teacher. Well, now I'm done and I can focus on our next adventure, our cruise. We leave in 4 days. I started getting things laundered and packed yesterday afternoon. I found a tip on a cruise forum I am trying. I am a notorious overpacker. This tipster suggested overpackers pack items in large 2 1/2 gallon ziplock bags, and label them. This makes things neat, orderly, and helps overpackers like me see exactly what goes into the suitcase. So far it seems to be working. I nearly have my son packed and it only takes up 1/2 the suitcase instead of a full suitcase just for him. Now I just need to take note of the 50 lb airline limit. We were 2 pounds short of that 50 lb limit coming home on our last air trip. I have to make sure I pack 5 lbs or so light to allow for our souveniers.

Alot of people ask about our garden railroad. He it is. It is actually quite a bit more mature than what you see here. This was July 4, 2006.
