Yesterday, my daughter and I got to spend the day with my sister-in-law and her husband at the Country Stampede in Manhattan at the Tuttle Creek state park. This is one of the biggest country music festivals in the country and it attracts nearly 40,000 fans on the the Saturday and Sunday events every year. They have VIP tickets which get us up front reserved seating and meals and drinks. It was an incredible day. This year my husband decided to stay home since his allergies were acting up and he has a sinus infection. It worked out alright since our daughter is a Taylor Swift fanatic and she performed. Taylor Swift is to our daughter what Miley Cyrus is to many other young girls these days. This was her dream. The pic of her with the singer in the background is Taylor Swift. This young lady is only 18 years old and she wrote all of the songs on her debut CD. She is currently holding the number one album and was the Horizon award winner, and she is only 18! Our daughter has been thinking about taking guitar lessons for awhile and I think she cemented that desire yesterday. I'm going to look into it this week. I did manage to score an autographed CD for her for her birthday this Tuesday. Talk about an excited girl. WOW! I thought she was going to have a stroke! Such fun. We had a great mother daughter day, and spending it with my sister-in-law and her husband made it even better. We again, couldn't ask for better kin!
On the road again....
