Today is the first full day of our daughters summer church camp. I just sent my husband off to work and our son is still in bed. This leaves me the whole day with just our son, and tomorrow, and the next day and so on until Friday. I have decided to take him to Wichita. We will leave this morning to go to a dancers supply store to get him some new shoes, and also to the uniform store to check out the uniforms for his upcoming school year. The other day I was looking in his dresser and closet as I put away laundry and realized that he has a pretty nice wardrobe. These great clothes will just sit in his closet for the most part, beginning this school year since he has to wear a uniform to school everyday day of a green polo and navy blue pants or shorts. Well, at least he'll have his nice clothes for weekends and holidays. I have been told by other parents they love the uniforms because their clothing budget for the kids is miniscule. This is great, but I love buying clothes for my kids. I love seeing them model them for the first time. They love the feel of crisp, fresh fabric too. I will miss this for him. About once a month, the school has a "casual day", were they get to wear their own clothes. I will make sure he has something special to wear on these days. In summary, I am looking forward to this mother/son time this week. We are going to have a great time. I will just have to figure out how to have some mother/daughter time next week when she gets home. We have to balance it out afterall.
