This morning I got up with DH as I usually do and went to get the newspaper. As he was in the shower, I was looking at the paper in bed. I came across the Ace Hardware Ad and saw they are running an incredible "while supplies last" special on some two drawer steel workbenches. We have been talking for years about building some work benches in the garage and in the basement workshop that he had framed in when the house was built. It's never happened. I got out of bed as soon as he left this morning and proceeded to prepared the garage for the bench. I needed to clean the entire garage first. I have been dreading this for months. We are pretty obsessive about the house, but the garage is, well, the garage and is pretty neglected. My husband is not a "Tim Taylor" and doesn't see any reason to organize or keep the garage tidy. Over time I usually get tired of the mess and clean it out, just like I did today. I got it cleaned out, and I ended up buying 2 of these workbenches. I wanted him to have room to spread out his stuff and have plenty of storage. I got one put together. It took me 3 hours, but it's there. I'm going to try to put the other one together tomorrow. After the 6 hours I spent today on it all, he'd better darn well appreciate it!! Happy Father's Day!!!
