We have had a pretty crazy few days. On Sunday, our daughter who was the acolyte at church literally stumbled out of the sanctuary in the middle of the service and collapsed in the bathroom where I found her immediately as I saw something was wrong and followed her out. We immediately took her to the emergency room and after a litany of blood work, UA, a CT scan, and ultrasound, we discovered a couple of things. First she had a cyst burst on one of her ovaries, and she also has some impacted bowel. So, after a follow up with our doctor today, we are now on a miralax regimine and we are to have a followup ultrasound in 6 weeks to check on the remaining cyst on her ovary. The kinda scary part about all of this, is she is only one week from being 11 years old. Ovarian cysts at 11!?! That's what everyone keeps saying. "She's too young for this!" is another. Yes, I agree with everyone, but nature seems to have a different idea. I can't control when she matures, and develops. It just happens, and it happens when her body says it's going to happen. She and us have had to accept this, and hopefully all of these glitches will work themselves out and she will set out on a course of regular cycles that will ensure that she will someday become a mother herself. Just not too soon!
On the road again....
