Kansas Weather, "Wait a minute and it will change!"

Yesterday, we took the Sebring out for a top down drive it was so beautiful. E was out in the back yard bare footed on his swingset. We opened the house windows to let the fresh air in. Today, we went back and forth before leaving for Emporia for our last Christmas celebration due to the miserable weather forecasts. One to two inches of snow, ice, freezing rain, you name it. It was in the forecast. We ultimately decided to go and we had a great time with my family. The drive back, well, it was interesting. Freezing rain, snow, sleet, near white out conditions. Our new Mountaineer proved it's mettle. We felt safer than ever. K slept, I listened to songs on my new Ipod, and E and S had a weird conversation about relative time and the origins of the universe. I listened in a little and was totally bored. E thought the conversation was great and had some pretty pertinent and well thought out questions and comments. I'm not sure how this conversation got started, but thank God I had my Ipod!

Alot of people ask about our garden railroad. He it is. It is actually quite a bit more mature than what you see here. This was July 4, 2006.
