What a way to start the Thanksgiving Holiday.
1. I attended Mass with my son's school today. I listened to the Angel Choir sing, the priest give a phenomenal sermon about our most precious gift, and the 3rd graders sing a special song that brought tears to my eyes.
2. I helped serve homemade turkey, potatoes, green beans, gravy, and peach cobbler to the entire school, staff, priests, and the Bishop in 32 minutes flat. I then sat down with my son, all dressed in his pilgrim outfit for the meal.
3. I then impulsively wrote a special check to help offset the cost of this meal as it is an off-budget event.
4. I told my husband of this gift and he said, "Great, I wish I could have been there. I'll make it next year!"
We leave today for Denver for our first visit in nearly a year. It looks like the weather is going to hold, and we look forward to some quality time. Have a blessed Thanksgiving everyone, and we'll see you soon.
On the road again....
