Time to sleep in

I just went to check in on E since he hasn't woke up yet, (it's after 8:00 a.m.) and he was talking in his sleep. "When's Dad gonna get home?" I heard. I paused for a moment and realized, he hasn't see his Dad more than a half an hour a day for the last week. He never woke up. I picked him up and carried him to our bedroom where S is still sleeping and put him in bed with him. I'm not sure when they will get up, but they'll wake up together.

In the mean time, I found "Freedom Writers" on TV and have decided to watch it as I get some house work done. If you haven't seen this movie, it is incredible. I watch it periodically to reinforce in me why I teach. I may not teach full-time, but I am a teacher. Check it out.
