The "O" bomb

Earlier this week, both kids had their 6 month dental cleanings and checkups. I had been dreading this for the last six months as we were told to expect to start K's orthodontics at the next check, as soon as her last "baby" tooth came out. We got the "O" bomb dropped. If she and us want her to have a nice smile with straight, attractive teeth, she's going to need a set of braces. She will undergo a level 1, which is pretty minimal, two year regimine. She will have the complete workup done in a couple of weeks and will have the pre-treatments done for about 3 months before the braces go on. We will need to make a pretty significant down payment to get this going and then monthly payments. We are fortunate that our resources allow for this, but that doesn't mean were a thrilled about it. The payoff will be worth in in the end when she has beautiful teeth to smile with.

Alot of people ask about our garden railroad. He it is. It is actually quite a bit more mature than what you see here. This was July 4, 2006.
