Today I went into Sam's Club to buy two new tires for our car. I always enjoy going in and talking car maintenance with men. I swear they still believe that women don't have a clue about cars, and their maintenance. I walked in, scanned the three tiered rack of tires, and pulled two down. The salesman walked up and asked if I needed help. "No, I'll take these. I have two Bridgestone touring P205/60 R16, and I need two comperable tread tires to put on front and move those to the back." He just looked at me, and said "Ok!. He wanted to put them on, but I declined. "I'm having my mechanic mount them, balance and align. He's putting new pads on the front brakes, so I might as well have him do it all". "Makes sense" he said. You could tell he was a little dumbfounded that I seemed to know what I was talking about. Ladies, learn your car maintenance basics. I plan to make sure our daughter can change a tire, check the oil, and know basic maintenance. Just because we're women, doesn't mean we can't take care of our own vehicles.
