This week was the potential first week we could bring our new puppy "Kona" home. The vet had different ideas. She decided it was best to wait another week. That being said, the breeder decided that she would let us be "doggy day care" until she can come home for good. Yesterday and today, we have had Kona most of the day. We are getting "acquainted" so to speak. She plays, eats, sleeps in her crate, and does her other "business" mostly outside. We have had a few accidents, but they are about the size of a dime, and we've caught her right away and we take her out immediately. We even visited the park today. It was awesome, except for the big bad street cleaning truck that was kinda scary. We found out then and there that she can already "RUN" were properly motivated! The kids are a little bummed that she wants to sleep so much, but I tell them that's when she grows. She'll play hard for an hour and sleep for an hour or more. That's being a puppy! She's doing well with our Grandma dog, Kida. Kida is very tolerant, but is more or less ambivalent at this point. Hopefully in the next week or so, she'll be coming home for good.
