Weekends, What weekends?

Last weekend, we had a blessing in the form of 11 inches of snow that guaranteed that we had a weekend of pure boredom! This may sound, well, boring, but this is truly a blessing in our lives. We were supposed to be in Hutchinson all day Saturday at K's last volleyball tournament of the season. Thanks to the snow, it has been postponed to the 18th of April. Another 3 weeks of practices, and going to the tournament on the 18th. We have a new coach which is proving to be a very good thing. Something to look forward too. As for the next few weekends, we have Palm Sunday weekend, E's birthday party, dance recital pictures, Easter Cantata performances for S, volleyball practices, volleyball tournaments, boy scouts campouts, soccer practices, soccer games, dance recitals, school carnivals, and vocal concerts. I looked at the calendar, and we have two "open" weekends between now and the 3rd weekend in May when we leave for vacation. Realizing this, I see now why we "need" this vacation.

Wow, 2 open weekends and you NEED a vacation? Excuse me for sounding jealous, but we have NO free weekends - and every other weekend, my husband is totally absent from our lives and we don't get a vacation! Count your blessings and please bring us souveneirs.

We had this taken at a family Christmas gathering. Note that by this time next year, K will be taller than me!

Alot of people ask about our garden railroad. He it is. It is actually quite a bit more mature than what you see here. This was July 4, 2006.
