Our day, March 28, 2009 as it rolled out...
7:00 a.m. S and I get up to see it snowing, still. Estimate 5 inches or so.
8:30 a.m. Kids get up, "SNOW", I get out snow gear.
9:00 a.m. S and I go out to start shoveling. Around 8 inches now.
10:15 a.m. We finish shoveling.
10:15 a.m. to 1:00 or so. We watch it continue to snow. Total accumulation: 11 inches!
Rest of the afternoon: Watch movies and take naps. K goes sledding with friends.
4:00 p.m. S starts watching "Field of Dreams" on TV. K comes up and wants to know what it's all about. "You'd have to watch it kiddo, it's too hard to explain."
6:00 p.m. We leave for dinner at "Scheme" for E's birthday. I develop a taste for Blue Moon beer with orange slices. YUM!
7:45 p.m. We head up to Markley road and try out the Mountaineer on the snow, giving the kids their first taste of what a 4 wheel drive can do. Kiddies on the snow. Gotta love that!
8:00 p.m. We arrive home to watch "Twilight" On Demand. We actually like the movie! The debate begins whether we should all read the book.
10:25 p.m. As I write this, thanks to above mentioned nap, I'm not tired. What to do?
Oh, it got up to 45 degrees today and melted much of the above mentioned snow. Gotta love Kansas weather!
On the road again....
